What a day we had celebrating our Mental Health Awareness Day on Friday 13th May.
We have been working hard all year to achieve our aims towards being awarded an Amber Flag and most importantly on promoting mental health and well-being in our school.
It was a fun-filled non-uniform day with lots of activities such as cooperation/team building games, wellbeing journals, facepainting and bubbles along with the highlight of the day - our 'Let's Walk Together in All Our Shoes' Walk. The walk was launched by students from the Naiscoil, who cut the Amber ribbon to send pupils and staff on our way walking from the school - around the Green and back donning our brightest colours. We walked behind our Amber Flag Banner (carried by the members of our Amber Flag Committee) proudly displaying our posters and placards for all the village to see.
Even the weather cooperated and it was a very special day.
Our fundraising event raised a whopping €527 for Pieta House!
