Road Safety at School

Driving SLOWLY at the school keeps every child safe
 

1. The agreed school drop-off system is that vehicles pull on the LEFT in the direction of the hill at the school so that pupils get out SAFELY on the PATH. Drivers, then go on to the top of the road and turn around there.
 

2. NO PARKING in the DROPDOWN area.
 

3. NO TURNING vehicles at the GATE
 

4. NO DOUBLE PARKING and allowing children get out of vehicles onto the road (this is an extremely dangerous practice which is under constant monitoring by Garda Brian Kelly)
 
5. NO PARKING along by the wall marked by the bollards and rope up from the school.
 

6. OVERFLOW PARKING in Fr. Breen's house along the driveway for parents/guardians and staff.
 
7. SAFE WALKWAY down from the overflow car-park is on the INSIDE of the wall under the trees into the school yard, through the gap beside the entrance to Fr Breen’s.
 
8. WET weather can make parking on the grass difficult in the OVERFLOW carpark - keep us informed and we will pass on the message!

On the dark mornings wear your high-vis jacket , an armband or hold a high-vis bag.
