Cumann na mBunscol Champions – Development Squad Girls Shine in O’Moore Park!
What an unforgettable day for our talented Timahoe NS girls’ football team! Playing in O’Moore Park against a strong Scoil Bhríde Knockmay side, our girls gave it their all and came out Cumann na mBunscol Champions after a thrilling four-point victory.
At half-time, the sides were level on six points apiece, but the determination and teamwork of the Timahoe girls shone through in the second half. Goals from Lauren and Sadie sealed the win, with the final score reading 2-8 to 1-7.
Throughout the year, the girls trained tirelessly with Ms. Garvey, honing their solos, shooting, and scoring — and their hard work certainly paid off! Their teamwork on the day was exceptional, with superb hand-passing, blocking, and endless running right up to the final whistle.
It was a nail-biting match that had parents and supporters on the edge of their seats, cheering every point and tackle. The boys and girls of Timahoe NS gave the team a fantastic send-off, and the girls were cheered on by a brilliant crowd in O’Moore Park too.
To celebrate, the team enjoyed a well-deserved trip to Supermac’s for burgers and ice cream — a treat made possible thanks to the generous support of Timahoe Ladies and Timahoe GAA Club.
