Over the past number of weeks, the children of Timahoe NS have been embracing the spirit of Gaelic games by taking part in our whole-school GAA Skills Challenge with Niall. Each week focused on a different fundamental skill, giving every child the chance to learn, practice and compete in a fun and encouraging environment.
Week One kicked off with the solo, where pupils concentrated on ball control, rhythm, and balance.
Week Two saw the excitement build as the children tested their strength and technique in the long kick.
In Week Three, teamwork and accuracy were put to the test with passing, an essential skill for keeping play flowing on the pitch.
Finally, Week Four wrapped up with the punt pass, helping pupils develop precision and timing in their delivery.
