Grandparents day is a part of Catholic schools week. Catholic schools week began on Monday 22nd January.
The children of 2nd and 6th class welcomed their Grandparents into the school hall on Wednesday 24th for a prayer service followed by some games and refreshments served by the parent's council. The children of 6th class shared the love by baking treats at home and bringing them into school for the Grandparents to enjoy.
We remembered all of our grandparents who are unwell or have passed away by lighting a special candle during our prayer service.
Grandparents play an important role in the lives of the children in Timahoe NS and we wish to acknowledge the guidance and encouragement they provide.
We will have a whole school mass on Friday at 1pm- all are welcome.
