Timahoe NS Welcomes Laois Hurler Tomás Keyes and the Joe McDonagh Cup
Timahoe National School was delighted to welcome Laois hurler Tomás Keyes to the school recently, accompanied by the prestigious Joe McDonagh Cup.
Tomás spent time with the children and staff, sharing his experiences of Laois' successful campaign. He spoke about the tremendous pride and excitement of winning the Joe McDonagh Cup and described the joy he felt when he had the honour of lifting the trophy following Laois' victory over Carlow.
The pupils were thrilled to see the cup up close and enjoyed hearing about the dedication, teamwork, and commitment required to succeed at the highest level of hurling. Tomás answered questions from the children and encouraged them to stay active, work hard, and always believe in themselves.
It was a memorable occasion for everyone at Timahoe NS, and we thank Tomás for taking the time to visit our school and inspire our pupils. We wish him and the Laois hurlers continued success in the future.
