Leah's Croke Park Experience
The 13th of July was a beautiful summer's day and all the stars were on display in Croke Park. Kerry legends David Clifford, Paudie Clifford and Seanie O'Shea put newly crowned Leinster champions Meath to the sword in a masterful display of football. But theirs wasn't the only masterful display of football that day in Croke Park........A young Timahoe girl by the name of Leah Ramsbottom announced herself on the national stage that day representing Scoil Mhuire Fatima in the INTO mini 7s. What a day is was for Leah as she achieved what most people can only dream of - playing on All Ireland Semi Final day in Croke Park.
Leah who is now a 6th class student qualified as one of only two girls in all of Laois to play in the INTO mini 7s tournament. What an achievement!...a testament to all the work her family and club have done in coaching her to achieve this level.
These half time games have been a part of the GAA calendar since 1987 and are a huge deal for any child. We are extremely proud of Leah and we know that she will remember the experience forever.
Congratulations Leah! Check out some photos below of her in action.
