Our 3rd to 6th class pupils recently enjoyed an exciting Say Yes to Languages experience, where they were introduced to French, Spanish and German through fun, interactive lessons delivered by teachers in our school. The pupils learned simple greetings, numbers, colours and everyday phrases while exploring the cultures and traditions of each country. The programme encouraged curiosity, confidence and an appreciation of different languages and ways of life.
To celebrate everything they had learned, we held a special Cultural Day. Pupils sampled a selection of delicious local delights inspired by France, Spain and Germany, adding a tasty cultural element to the experience. The day was filled with enthusiasm, laughter and a willingness to try something new.
The Say Yes to Languages initiative gave our pupils a wonderful introduction to language learning and highlighted the many benefits of communicating across cultures. We are very proud of their participation and look forward to continuing our language-learning journey together.
