Our 4th, 5th and 6th Class pupils performed beautifully at their violin recital this week with Irene Ramos from Music Generation.
It has been fantastic to watch the children progress throughout the year. They have developed their violin skills, learned to read some music notes and, most importantly, grown in confidence and enjoyment of music. The progression across all groups was very evident during the performance.
A huge thank you to our Parents Council for their fundraising efforts throughout the year, which helped make these lessons possible.
The Orchestra Group has also been a wonderful opportunity for children who are particularly interested in performing and developing their musical talents further, with the possibility of progressing to the orchestra group in Portlaoise in the future.
Finally, sincere thanks to Irene for all of her patience, encouragement and hard work with the children throughout the year.
